This agreement is between For Fathers Fitness (“we”, “us”) and you, the client. Your coach is Alim Shabazz. It covers one phase of the For Fathers Men’s Optimization coaching program. You accept it in the coaching portal before you pay and before your first coaching call.
1. What you are agreeing to
You are enrolling in one three-month phase. The full roadmap is four phases over twelve months, which totals $12,000 if you complete all four — but that is a roadmap, not what you are agreeing to today. Each phase is a separate decision.
The program has four phases of three months each: Foundation, Build, Consolidate, Review. This agreement covers the phase you are starting. Each later phase is a separate decision and a separate payment.
2. The coaching service
For the phase, your fee includes:
- Onboarding and a full intake review
- A 30-minute private coaching call each month
- A 60-minute quarterly review, which replaces that month’s call
- A structured weekly check-in in the app, reviewed by your coach, with a written weekly summary
- Secure messaging in the app, answered within two business days
- Individualized training, written for your schedule and equipment
- Nutrition and lifestyle coaching within coaching scope
- Portal access to your plan, check-ins and history
- Education chosen for your situation, not a generic library
Coaching is not medical care. Your coach does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and coaching works alongside your own licensed clinicians, who remain responsible for your medical care.
If your answers or check-ins raise a safety concern, training is paused until your own licensed clinician has cleared you. Only a clinician can clear that pause; your coach cannot.
The programmed workouts are individualized training plans. They are not live supervised personal-training sessions.
Additional in-person training is a separate arrangement and is not included in this fee.
Supplement purchases are optional. Nothing in this program requires buying a product.
Costs outside this fee — labs, appointments, testing, medications, supplements, gym access, equipment — are yours and are listed above before you buy.
3. What is not included
- Laboratory charges
- Medical appointments
- Diagnostic testing
- Medications
- Supplements
- Gym memberships
- Equipment
- Additional in-person training sessions
These costs are yours if you choose to take them on.
4. Fees and payment
The coaching fee is $1,000 a month. One three-month phase costs $3,000 in total. You choose one way to pay:
- Pay the phase in full — $3,000, paid once before coaching starts.
- Three monthly payments of $1,000: the first before coaching starts, then one each month for the next two months, charged automatically to the same card. Payments stop after the third.
Payment is made by card through Stripe, our payment processor, on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us or this site. Payment is due before coaching starts.
The roadmap total of $12,000 applies only if you separately choose all four phases.
5. Renewal
A phase does not renew on its own. Continuing into the next phase is a decision you make at the end of the one you are in.
6. Cancellation and refunds
If you chose three monthly payments, you may cancel before your next monthly payment by emailing us. Once you cancel, you owe nothing further.
A phase never renews on its own, so there is nothing to cancel at the end of a phase.
Before coaching starts, a full refund is available on request. Coaching starts when your coach delivers your plan or holds your first coaching call, whichever comes first.
There are no refunds once coaching has started. A phase paid in full is not refundable after coaching starts, and monthly payments already made are not refunded.
To cancel or ask for a refund, email info@forfathersfitness.com.
7. Calls and rescheduling
You may move your monthly 30-minute coaching call (or your quarterly review) if you give at least 24 hours’ notice.
A call missed without at least 24 hours’ notice is forfeited and is not made up.
Each phase includes a 60-minute quarterly review, which replaces that month’s call.
8. Communication
There are no weekly calls. Between your monthly calls, coaching happens in the app: you complete a short structured check-in each week, your coach reviews it, and you receive a written weekly summary, normally within two business days.
The app sends you an automatic reminder when your weekly check-in opens, and one more if it is still open two days later. These reminders appear only inside the app.
Your coach is reached through secure messages in the portal. Messages are answered within two business days.
Your coach uses an AI assistant (Claude, made by Anthropic) to draft replies to your messages and your weekly summaries from your coaching records. Your coach reads every draft and approves or edits it before it is sent; nothing written by the AI reaches you without your coach seeing it first.
The AI does not make decisions about your plan, does not give medical advice, and cannot clear a safety pause. Anything that sounds like pain, injury, a new symptom or a medication change is handled by your coach personally.
The portal is not monitored around the clock and is not for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
9. Your responsibilities
- Answer the assessment and weekly check-ins honestly and completely, and tell your coach when something changes — your health, medications, injuries or schedule.
- When your coach asks you to get clearance from your own doctor or clinician before training, get it before you continue.
- Stop exercising and seek medical help if you have chest pain or pressure, dizziness, fainting, unusual shortness of breath, or pain that is sharp or getting worse.
- Train within your limits and use equipment safely.
- Keep your portal sign-in to yourself.
10. Privacy
How your information is collected, kept and protected is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.
11. Assumption of risk
Exercise and changes to diet, sleep and activity carry some risk, including injury. You take part voluntarily and accept those risks. You confirm that you will tell your coach about any health condition that could affect your training and will follow your clinician’s advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, For Fathers Fitness’s total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the fees you paid for the current phase, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
13. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii.
14. Entire agreement
This agreement, the offer shown to you when you accepted it, and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about this phase. Any change must be in writing and agreed by both of us. If one part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
